Massimo Guarini is an award-winning and BAFTA nominated Game Director, Executive Producer and Author.
Through his career he has collaborated with visionary directors, musicians and game designers such as J.J. Abrams, Steven Wilson, Goichi Suda, Shinji Mikami and Akira Yamaoka.
He has created, directed and otherwise designed titles for Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe, 505 Games and Bad Robot Games.
Massimo Guarini is represented by Storied Media Group, the source to the best high-end film/television content in Hollywood.
Through Guarini Design, his concept house, Massimo creates original Intellectual Properties and provides expertise as Creative Advisor for games, AR/VR, metaverse, films and television.
Massimo has created and directed worldwide critically acclaimed titles “Last Day of June” (505 Games) and “Murasaki Baby” (Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe).
For his work on “Last Day of June”, the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) and the IVGA (Italian Video Game Awards) honoured Massimo with a nomination and an award in the Game Beyond Entertainment category. For his personal contribution to the game industry he has also been honoured with the Individual Recognition Award by Gamesindustry.biz.
In Tokyo, Japan, Massimo co-wrote and directed cult horror “Shadows of the Damned” (Electronic Arts / Grasshopper Manufacture).
In Montreal, Canada, Massimo designed and directed the arcade hit “Naruto – Rise of a Ninja” (Ubisoft Montreal).
Other select game design and directing credits include Tom Clancy’s “Rainbow Six 3 – Raven Shield” (Ubisoft Montreal), the cult action-horror “The Mummy” and Ubisoft’s gaming classic “Rayman”.
